SSCA to Host 2024 AZ State Conference

Sedona, AZ – August 5, 2024 – The Sedona Sister Cities Association is thrilled to announce that it has been selected to host the 2024 Arizona Sister Cities State Conference, themed “Finding Common Ground: At the Heart of Creating, Revitalizing, and Growing Sister Cities.” This exciting event will take place on November 15th and 16th at Yavapai Community College in Sedona. It will attract participants from Sedona’s Friendship Cities and throughout the United States.

The goal is to inspire the actions of individuals and local Sister Cities organizations through powerful speakers, shared learning experiences, informal and structured dialogue, reflection, and visioning among local teams and the larger sister city community.

To share the unique beauty, art, and adventures of Sedona, we will kick off with a “Pre-Conference” on Friday, offering participants the chance to explore Sedona through both informal and structured adventures.

The conference will officially open on the evening of November 15th with the first Annual Sedona Sister Cities "Mayor's International Dinner."Attendees will enjoy a magical night of fine wine, delightful international flavors, engaging conversations, and insightful perspectives shared by visionaries who will discuss their insights, concerns, and hopes for the future.

The conference will continue on Saturday with local, regional, and national facilitators who will share emerging practices and help us examine our Sister Cities endeavors to achieve our Mission - to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation one individual, one community at a time
